World Bee Day
May 20
World Bee Day was established by the United Nations to raise awareness regarding the importance of bees and their role as pollinators in the natural ecosystem. Bees are currently an endangered species due to unsustainable farming practices, pesticides and climate change resulting in higher global temperatures. The United Nations aims to raise awareness about how we can mitigate and reduce the rate at which bees are becoming extinct.
