SUMMARY:Thanksgiving
DESCRIPTION:Thanksgiving is celebrated in the US on the fourth Thursday in November. It is a time for families to gather and reflect on the year that has passed\, giving thanks for the things they are grateful for. \nThanksgiving originated in 1621 when the English colonists – often called Pilgrims – from Plymouth\, Massachusetts\, shared a feast with the native Wampanoag people to give thanks for a successful harvest. \nTraditionally\, a large family meal of roast turkey\, potatoes\, cranberries and pumpkin pie is served on the day – this is said to be based on the harvest feast of 1621. \nLearn more about Thanksgiving.
